Looking to refresh their branding and marketing collateral to appeal to all ages, the CHC required a fresh approach that modernised the historic legacy of the site, creating a fun, vibrant and relaxed atmosphere to visit.

An stylistic illustrative approach was adopted, using a selection of patterns and shapes to define scenes and events unique to the CHC surroundings.

 

This gave the CHC communication team a suite of graphical elements that could be used across the marketing mix. Brand guidelines were created, providing a broad mix of templates and examples of how the toolkit can be used to further enhance the brands unique style.

The existing primary colours were adjusted be more vibrant and complimentary with a new secondary colour palette, which formed part of CHC's topical based communications. 

A curated collection of shapes and patterns, representing the CHC's surroundings of nature, lock and waterways, as well as man-made structures, are used within the illustrations to create shape and form.
